RE: Not too ‘smooth' a shift from 1st to 2nd w/ Chevy 6.0

First, are you sure of your recollection of how the shift was before? Think of driving a stick shift - the 1-2 shift is harder to get right than the 2-3 and by the time you get to 4-5 it's really easy to flick into the next gear. You're accelerating a loaded delivery van... You have only 27K miles, but still, how does the fluid look and smell? How does this match up with the severe service recommendation in the owner's manual? Might be time for a service... Finally there's an auto forum at batauto.com where they like Lubegard products, specuifically for a shifting problem. Here's a link to their products, look at "Red." http://www.lubegard.com/automotive/index.htmlClick able link

HP? on a 7.3 Power Stroke

When I purchased my F350 in 01 the dealer never gave me a book for the engine a 7.3 power stroke. Checked with the dealer to get the HP on that engine and I was told it was 230 HP. On the other hand some one told me the HP was 290. Would appreciate if some one could clear this up for me. Thanks. DCN.

RE: Anyone try to negotiate a shortsale with your bank ?

As an employer, I wonder how that would work when I do payroll. Times are tough and I would like to know how much less than what I owe you would settle our debt? Unfortunately, as a doctor, I'm used to that. I only collect about 40% of what I bill (same problem for doctors everywhere). Totally sucks. Perhaps doctors should carry a special card, so when we go shopping, or have service done, we can pay only 40% of our bill too....Oh Lord, I feel so sorry for you.

RE: Retail to Retail Deal

Anytime you trade, you allow the dealer the opportunity to make money twice off you on the same deal; off the unit you're buying and off the unit you're trading in. Don't muck up the water. Sell yer rig outright hopefully at high retail and go in with cash to buy yer new rig at or near wholesale. Sell high, buy low. Why would you want to do otherwise??? Happy camping!!! See y'all down the road!!!:)I think you'll be hard pressed trying to sell a coach at high retail these days, you would be happy to get some one to give you a little more than wholesale.

RE: Posting pictures within text messages

scooter4, increasing the height of a picture from 138 pixels to 600, will usually create a picture of poor quality. When you find it necessay to use the size parameters - they can be left blank - use only one of them, usually the width, and leave the other one blank. The display engine will use only the first one it sees and automatically adjust the other one so as to keep the picture in proportion. TomThanks Tom, you Mods are alway a great help. I will make a note , so I don't make that mistake again.

RE: Waste valve jammed, and tank is full!!!!!

When I replaced mine last year, the handle and rod just screwed into the new valve. Might be as simple as that. I hope! Good idea, try screwing the rod back in to the vale.

RE: Virginia "Personal Property Tax"

Move to FL and save on the taxes. Only pay $43.00 for the 5er. Truck $36.00 and no state income tax. Look out for Home owners insurance they get you. How did you get by paying only $36.00 for a 1 ton truck, my F350 is over $100.00 for the tags ????. May be it depends on the county.

RE: 20 k Reese Hitch adjustment

Yes there is some slop when taking off from a stop. It is possible the problem is in my Trail Air pin box. I guess the best thing is to call Reese, they should know. Thanks guys.

RE: silly question, but here goes...

Also, how do I add a picture of my rig that will show up on the end of each post? I managed to get them in my profile, but was trying to get them in my signature. Click on my preferences, and go to select. You need to shrink the selected picture first.
